You may have already chosen an outfit for your Maternity Shoot, or you might be looking for some tips and inspiration.

For some it’s as simple as classic jeans, unbuttoned to show your bump,  a bra and an oversized ‘boyfriend’ style shirt. Or a simple maternity body suit can also be a classy way to show off your bump. In studio I have a small selection of small/medium sized dresses and some beautiful scarves and wraps

The white dresses : Romance and Serenity, are perfect for creating dreamy shots with a white background. Match with modest jewellery, fresh flowers and babies first toys or booties.

Elegance is a simple outfit with open front to reveal your bump and can be colour changed in post production to match your skin tones and is best photographed on a dark background.

Maternity Scarves & Wraps

My beautiful silk Maternity Scarves can be wrapped, draped and  thrown to create a variety of looks.  

Choose from : Steel Grey, Rust, Cognac, Denim and Dusky Pink.  In addition I have a small selection of lace and tulle which can be used for similar effect.

Maternity Scarves look amazing when teamed with statement jewellery, headpieces, belts and sashes.  So feel free to let your imagination run wild when shopping for accessories to bring!

If your husband or partner is accompanying you, we can keep them busy creating lovely billowy shapes with the fabric! Not to mention getting some gorgeous couples shots - so have a think about how to co-ordinate your outfits for these.

Please let me know in advance if you would like use any of the dresses and wraps, so that I can make sure they are laundered and available. Please also let me know your choice of white or grey backdrop

 (I would definitely recommend the grey for the darker coloured outfits).

Regardless of your choice of outfit,  underwear is very important! Think strapless bras and/or boob tubes, minimal, nude and unobtrusive, especially if you are going for a sheer dress or Maternity Scarf look.

Finally … give yourself a pamper! You certainly deserve it and it will help make your photographs extra fabulous! Have a think about hair, nails and make up, I’m happy to recommend local beauticians, including Stacy at Elegancé, who has a studio on the ground floor of the same building.
